Many are familiar with Annabelle, Chewy, and Yogi, the senior trio whose owner fell on hard times and became homeless.
When he could no longer keep the trio, they came to us in August 2019 and went into a foster home that was willing to keep all three together. Unfortunately, Annabelle crossed the Rainbow Bridge in December 2020, at approximately 14 years old. Her two sons, Chewy (age 13) and Yogi (age 11), continue to do well in their foster home. Yogi is an old softie and has the sweetest grin. He loves to destroy anything cardboard or paper. Chewy is a skilled counter surfer and, if his family forgets, will clear anything left out on the kitchen counters or side tables. He is very attached to his foster mom. They have had some medical issues common to goldens and seniors like ear and respiratory infections but overall have been well. They accepted Annabelle's passing as dogs do. They continue to be loved by their foster parents and to share their lives with Emmy, the foster's adopted Turkey dog. (Chewy and Yogi catching a peaceful snooze together.)
